A 19th Century Bugis Sulawesi keris.

The keris sarung is old and the buntut was repaired a long time ago. Although not a proper south sulawesi-styled buntut.

Top sheath made of kemuning wood. Bottom stem made of angsana wood.

Some visible crack line on the old sampir. Seems to have a 'Y' chatoyance on the top sheath.

The antique elephant ivory hilt is well-carved with floral motifs. The brass ferrule (pendokok) is a 2-piece construction).

The carved ivory hilt, from another angle. Simple pendoko for this piece.

The arabic 'Allah' carved at the centre of the ivory hilt is clearly visible.

The endless knot motif found on the top of the hilt.

Wengkon lines is visible. The blade was coated with wax, when first received from Netherlands.
